Turkey

Our festive turkeys are proudly supplied by Walters Turkeys, based in the heart of the Berkshire Downs. We select slow-growing traditional breeds that mature naturally, fed on homegrown cereals milled on the farm. Their diet is free from growth promoters, and their welfare is paramount.
From day-old poults in June to free-roaming birds in August, Walters turkeys enjoy fresh air, green meadows, and spacious straw-bedded barns. Organic turkeys are raised similarly on a nearby organic farm, fed high-quality organic feed and dry-plucked by hand—one of the few producers in the UK to maintain this traditional method.


All turkeys are game-hung for up to two weeks in purpose-built refrigerated rooms, ensuring moist, tender meat with deep, old-fashioned flavour. Supermarket turkeys simply don’t compare.


We’re proud of the care and attention given to every bird. Walters Turkeys are inspected by the Environmental Health Officer, the Traditional Farm Fresh Turkey Association (TFTA), and the Soil Association. Their quality has earned Great Taste Awards and loyal customers year after year.
We will always supply the finest of quality, so your festive centrepiece is nothing short of spectacular.


Your turkey will arrive oven-ready, wrapped in greaseproof paper, boxed with a sprig of fresh rosemary, and accompanied by vacuum-packed giblets for delicious gravy. A pop-up timer, cooking instructions, and a recipe leaflet are included to help you serve the perfect festive feast.
