A Proud Local Legacy

Our shop first opened its doors in 1968, after moving from Hill Road, under the care of Lloyd Hill. Lloyd’s dedication to quality and community laid the foundation for what would become a beloved local institution.

In 1988, Wally (Clive Viner)—who had worked alongside Lloyd—took on the shop and continued its tradition of excellence. Under his stewardship, it became known as V & B Butchers, serving Oakley and the surrounding area with pride for over 37 years.

Today, we honour that legacy while bringing a fresh chapter to the story—rooted in the same values of craftsmanship, honesty, and care.

After 37 incredible years at the helm of V & B, Wally and Nicola are passing the torch—and we couldn’t be more honoured to take it on. We want to extend our deepest thanks for their outstanding service, dedication, and the legacy they’ve built in the heart of Oakley. Their commitment to quality and community has set a standard we truly admire.

As we step into this new chapter, we—Sam and Dave—are excited to continue their amazing work, bringing our own modern twist while staying true to the values that have made V & B so special. Quality, service, and a personal touch remain at the core of everything we do. We wish Wally and Nicola all the very best in their well-earned retirement.
